E5500 Kontron BIOS Update Utility
In order for Windows XP to activate properly on the E5500 Kontron PC, the lastest
BIOS must be installed. For drives shipped with Windows XP, a bootable CD has been
provide which will automatically update the BIOS. The files necesary to update the
BIOS from Windows and the iso for the CD can be found on the Agilent website.
Using the BIOS Update Bootable CD-ROM
Boot the Kontron PC to the CD-R
Step
1 Insert the CD into the PC.
2 Restart the computer.
3 At the prompt, press any key to boot to the CD.
4 The CD will boot into Windows PE environment and automatically launch a script to check

the BIOS and update it if necessary.
