Start Up Guide
Please use ESD Precautions when handling and operating
When unpacking the analyzer, if the exterior of the analyzer appears to be
damaged during transport, do not turn on the power switch. Otherwise, you
may get an electric shock.
Ventilation Requirements
Below is the ventilation space at the installation.
Requirements
Back ≥ 180 mm
Sides ≥ 60 mm (both right and left)
Connecting the BNC Adaptor (Option 1E5)
When the E5081A is equipped with Option 1E5 (high-stability frequency standard), connect the BNC adapter
between the 10 MHz REF OVEN and the 10 MHz REF IN connectors on the rear panel. The BNC adapter is
included in Option 1E5. When Option 1E5 is installed, the frequency accuracy and stability of the E5081A will
further improve.
Starting the E5081A
1. The standby switch can turn ON/OFF the E5081A. The color on the button shows the status, as indicated
below:
Indicator Color
Green
Orange
Orange + Green
2. Press the standby switch once, it changes to green color and turns ON the power. E5081A will starts the self-test.
3. Normal operation is confirmed by the self-test if no error message appears.
