9.3.6 To disassemble and assemble the ignition
lock
1. Remove the side cover on the control panel.
2. Remove the ignition key and the rubber seal.
3. Remove the nut and the ignition switch.
4. Pull the connector to disconnect it from the ignition
switch.
5. Assemble in opposite sequence. Make sure the
connector goes into the correct position.

9.4 Fuel system

9.4.1 To replace the fuel filter
1. Open the engine cover to access the fuel filter.
2. Move the hose clips away from the fuel filter with a
pair of flat pliers.
3. Pull off the fuel filter from the hose ends.
4. Press the new fuel filter into the ends of the hoses.
Apply liquid detergent to the ends of the fuel filter to
make the connection easier.

5. Push the hose clips against the fuel filter.
9.4.2 To remove the fuel tank
WARNING: Gasoline is very flammable and
dangerous for the environment. Make sure to
prevent fire and spill.
1. Remove the fender above the fuel tank. See
remove the covers on page 17
2. Put a container below the fuel tank to collect the
gasoline. For information about fuel tank capacity,
Technical data on page 54
see
3. Compress the fuel tank hose to prevent leakage.
4. Disconnect the fuel tank hose from the lower
connection of the fuel filter.
5. Pull the hose through the frame.
6. Put the end of the hose into the container and empty
the fuel tank.
7. Remove the cable and lift the fuel tank.
9.4.3 To assemble the fuel tank
WARNING: Gasoline is very flammable and
dangerous for the environment. Make sure to
prevent fires and prevent spills.
CAUTION: Make sure the hose is not damaged.
Note: Empty the tank before assembly to make the
assembly easier.
1. Push the fuel hose through the bracket and put the
tank on the bracket.
2. Attach the cable around the tank.
3. Push the fuel hose through the frame.
4. Attach the fuel hose to the fuel filter.
5. Fill the tank with gasoline and do a check that there
are no leaks.
6. Attach the fender.
