To keep the hydraulic system
Obey the instructions in
clean on page 30 .
1. Put a container below the drain plugs.
2. Open the 2 plugs to drain the front hydrostatic
transmission.
3. Open the 2 plugs to drain the rear hydrostatic
transmission.
4. Replace the hydrostatic transmission filter. See
replace the hydrostatic transmission filter on page
40 .
5. Attach the drain plugs.
6. Fill the transmission oil tank with oil.
7. Bleed the hydrostatic transmission. See
the drive system on page 31 .
8. Do a test of the product and fill with oil to the correct
level in the transmission oil tank.
9.5.12.3 To replace the hydrostatic transmission filter
WARNING: Transmission oil is dangerous to
your skin. Clean spills with soap and water.
WARNING: Used oil and filters are dangerous
to the environment. Discard used chemicals at
an applicable disposal location.
CAUTION: Do not tighten the filter lid to much.
The filter lid is made of plastic.
40 - Repair instructions
This filter is behind the rear transmission and must be
changed when the oil is changed.
Obey the instructions in
clean on page 30 .
1. Drain the oil from the rear transmission. See
replace the oil in the front and rear hydrostatic
transmissions on page 39 .
2. Remove the filter lid and pull out the filter.
3. Push in the new filter until the rubber seal in the front
is in position.

Note: The filter is not in the correct position if the
spring must be compressed before the filter lid
thread connects.
