CONFIGURATION AND OPERATION
Configuration of the EQP OPECL is accomplished using Det-Tronics Safety System Software (S3) that is running on
the EQP Operator Interface Station (OIS).
ONBOARD HART PORT
The on-board HART port is functional on the EQP OPECL, however, it should not be used for device configuration
purposes. All EQP device configuration should be performed using the S3 program.
MULTI-COLORED LED
Operation of the status indicating LED is identical to all other OPECL versions.
REMOTE CALIBRATION OPTION
Operation of the remote calibration option is identical to all other OPECL versions.
ANALOG OUTPUT
A 4-20 mA analog current output is not available with EQP OPECL.
RS-485 COMMUNICATION
RS-485 communication is not available with EQP OPECL.
CALIBRATION ROUTINE
The calibration procedure for the EQP OPECL is identical to all other OPECL versions.

refer to form 95‑8533 (Eagle Quantum Premier hardware manual).
OPECL OPERATION WITH EAGLE QUANTUM PREMIER
Gas alarm thresholds are programmed using S3 logic. High and low gas alarms are latched and displayed on the
EQP Controller.
Calibration and beam block faults are automatically latched and displayed on the EQP controller. The trouble relay is
activated.
