WARNING: 2 persons are necessary to do this
procedure. 1 person must always operate the
product during this procedure.
Note: The difference between the wheel speeds is larger
when the product is new.

1. Make sure that the adjustment rod behind the left
front wheel is attached to the top hole of the front
transmission arm.
2. Put the product on the adjustment tool for wheel
speed (A). Refer to Servicing tools on page 16 . To
prevent incorrect result, 2 of the wheels must touch
the ground.

3. Make sure that the wheels are parallel to the
adjustment tool for wheel speed.
Note: Do not turn the steering wheel during this
procedure.

4. Make a mark on the wheels on the adjustment tool
for wheel speed with reflective tape (B) or
equivalent.
5. Start the engine and let it warm up at full speed until
the wheel speed is stable.
WARNING: Engine exhaust contains
poisonous carbon monoxide. Attach an
exhaust hose before you start the engine
indoors.
6. Measure the wheel speed with a tachometer (C) at a
maximum distance of 10 cm from the wheel (D).
Make a note of the rpm of the rear wheel at full
speed.
7. Measure the speed of the front wheel, it must be
between 0-5% lower than the rear wheel speed.
8. Stop the engine.
9. Loosen the locknuts (A) to adjust the speed of the
wheels with the adjustment rod (B).

a) A longer rod makes the front wheels turn at a
higher speed.
b) A shorter rod makes the front wheels turn at a
lower speed.
10. Do a check that the adjustment is correct. If not, do
step 6 – 8 again.
11. Tighten the adjustment rod locknuts when the
adjustment is complete.
