The serial ports are asynchronous communi-
cation ports with 16C550A-compatible UARTs
that can be used with modems, serial print-
ers, remote display terminals, and other serial
devices.
The three COM ports support RS232 — two
stacked DB9 connectors at the rear side and
one internal pin-header connector for monitor-
ing the BMC.
BIOS Setting
Configure the display devices in the "Ad-
vanced" menu ("Console Redirection" and "SIO
NCT6112D" submenus) of the BIOS. Refer to
the chapter 3 for more information.
Note:
The BMC COM port is used to monitor the IPMI functions and the BMC on the
SEM2500/SEM2510 card.

MGMT Port (optional)
The LAN ports allow the system board to connect to a local area network (LAN) by means of a
network hub. The MGMT port is only available when SEM2500 is supported.
BIOS Setting
Configure the onboard LAN ports in the "Advanced > PCI Express Configuration" submenu of
the BIOS; for the MGMT Port, go to "H2O IPMI Configuration > BMC configuration" submenu.
Refer to chapter 3 for more information.
Driver Installation
Install the LAN drivers. Refer to the chapter 4 for more information.
