Chapter 4
Drive Shaft Guard Bolt
FIGURE 2.
Remove the left front axle drive shaft guard bolt as shown in the figure above.
2.
Install one 5/16" lock washer (P/N 313-1000-019) on the drive shaft guard bolt.
3.
Align the base mounting bracket (P/N 107-0172-175) over the hole and replace the drive shaft guard bolt.

Remove the nuts and clamp from the 1-3/8" muffler clamp (P/N 435-3003-054).

Note:
The nuts from the U-bolt muffler clamp can be discarded. They are not used in the WAS
installation.
Install the U-bolt around the left side of the tie rod with the legs of the U-bolt pointing up.
6.
Install the clamp on the U-bolt over the tie rod.

Install the WAS rod mounting bracket (P/N 107-0172-076) over the ends of the U-bolt and secure it using

two 5/16" nylon insert lock nuts (P/N 312-4001-107) as shown in Figure 3 above.
