4. COMMISSIONING
Warning
To ensure the proper functioning of the tool, all commissioning procedures must be carried
out before using it for the first time.
4.1. ASSEMBLY OF THE CHAIN AND CHAIN GUIDE (1ST USE)
Caution
Before working on the tool, check that
the On / Off switch is in the off position
«0» and disconnect the battery power
lead.
The chain guide and the chain are
delivered unassembled. Assemble the
chain guide and the chain.
1.
Make sure the battery switch is at "0" and the con-
nector is disconnected.
2.
Remove the chain guard (6) and fit the chain guide
(8, 9 or 10) into its place.
3.
Push the chain guide (8, 9 or 10) towards the sprock-
et wheel to engage the lock.
4.
Fit the chain (7) with respect to the cutting direction.
5.
Refit the chain guard (6).
6.
Tighten the lock nut (11) using the captive telescopic
tightening wrench (14). During this operation, the au-
tomatic chain tensioning mechanism should be trig-
gered.

Caution
Before the first use, check the volt-
age of the chain (See the procedure
of Checking the tension of the chain).
If the chain is slack, refer to the chain
tension explanations (see procedure
Section 6.4, "Automatic chain ten-
sion").
