6.6. FORCED CHAIN LUBRICATION
The forced lubrication cycle distributes the oil from the
reservoir to the mechanism.
When to carry out the forced lubrication
cycle?
The lubrication cycle is always carried out with the lubri-
cant reservoir filled and:
• at the start of every season,
• whenever the mechanism lacks lubrication.
Procedure
1.
Press the triggers and keep them held.
2.
Set the battery switch to "1".
3.
An automatic cycle starts which sends oil from the
reservoir to the chain guide.
• short beep every 20 seconds during the cycle.
• 3 beeps to validate the end of the cycle.
4.
Release the triggers when you hear the first beep.
Important
Carry out a forced lubrication cycle at the start of
each season in order to check the chain lubricating
function.
Carry out forced lubrication whenever necessary.
6.7. FITTING THE CHAIN GUIDE
2 types of chain guide bar can be mounted on the Chain-
saw: See Section 3.2.2, "Chains and chain guides com-
patibility".
Warning
Do not use other chain guide bar than
those recommended.
1.
Perform the process of mounting the chain (refer to
Section 4.1, "Assembly of the chain and chain guide
(1st use) ").
2.
Replace the chain guide or turn it round if necessary.
Note
The chain guide must be replaced whenever nec-
essary or when 3 or 4 chains have been replaced.
