• Drainable pouch with cap, Maxi Drainable: Close the cap
as far as maximum.
Separate the pouch walls by crumpling it slightly to
introduce air into it.
Remove the release paper that protects the adhesive of
the pouch (E).
Grasp the pouch by the sides.
Insert the tab of the pouch into the slot of the base plate
(F) and (G). Avoid placing your fingers on the adhesive.
Adjust and make the pouch adhere onto the base plate
without making folds (H).
Apply the adhesive carefully by exerting a pressure onto
the stuck area (I).
Make sure the pouch is well secured by pulling on it slightly.
5 Emptying of drainable pouches
Position yourself appropriately.
• Drainable "Roll-Up" pouches:
- Release the two self-fastening strips and unroll the
sleeve. Be careful, emptying will start right at this point.
To fully open the outlet, apply slight pressure with your
fingers on guides (K1).
- Once the emptying is complete, expel, as much as
possible, any matter still in the sleeve by pressing it lightly
from top to bottom. Carefully clean its extremity avoiding
the use of shedding cloths (K2).
- Then close the outlet again.
- Please note: the closed sleeve is hidden under the soft
backing material (K3).
• Maxi Drainable pouches with cap:
Remove the cap and point it towards the toilet bowl. Once
the emptying is complete, clean the cap.
After emptying of drainable pouches, close the closure
outlet again as indicated above.
6 Using B. Braun belt with Flexima/Softima Key convex
If you wish to use a B. Braun belt, choose two loops that
are diametrically opposed (C,D).
7 Using filter protection stickers
Before bathing or showering, stick the filter protection
sticker over the gas evacuation openings (L1,L2) in order
to maintain filter performances. For Split cover, this must
require to lift the comfort film and to stick the filter
protection filter directly on the pouch films. After bath or
shower, remove the filter protection stickers.
8 Removing the products
• Removing the pouch:
Maintain the base plate by the prehension tab and unstick
the pouch progressively with the other hand by pulling on
the tab of the pouch. For the Urostomy pouch*, unstick
the pouch either with the thumb inserted into the specific
cut-out, or with the specific accessory inserted in the slot
(J). Turn to unstick the pouch. Complete the un-sticking
progressively.
• Removing the base plate:
Pull slightly on the top of the base plate and remove the
base plate from the top to the bottom, while maintaining
gentle pressure on the skin around the stoma with your
other hand.
