Installing the Adept Driver

The Adept driver is automatically installed when the PC—on which you are running the system—detects
the ARC SDP board. If the PC fails the automatic installation you can manually install the Adept driver.
To manually install the Adept driver perform the following tasks:
1. Download the axs101_tools_<version>.zip file from the ARC SDP web site.
The Adept driver is included in the axs101_tools_<version>.zip file, which is available on the ARC
SDP download web site. You should have received the corresponding URL when you purchased the
PCIe IP Prototyping Kit.
2. Unzip the axs101_tools_<version>.zip file.
3. Change to the /tools/digilent_adept directory.
4. Double-click the digilent.adept.system_<version>.exe executable file
The Adept driver is part of the Digilent Adept tool. You can download the most recent version

of the Digilent Adept tool from the Digilent web site http://www.digilentinc.com.
Download the latest version of the Adept System and install the Digilent Adept tool using the
installation instructions from Digilent.
