4.1.2 Initialization

This operation is performed to write the factory values into the EEPROM on the main board. With this
operation, all the factory values are written in at the same time.
1.
Connect the printer to the host computer with a parallel interface cable.
2.
Start the adjustment program in the host computer.
3.
Select CUSTOMER SET from the 1st menu and press Enter.
Move the cursor using ↑ or ↓ to select an appropriate customer code and area. Then press Enter. The

main menu appears on the monitor.
Move the cursor using ↑ or ↓ to select ADJUST from the 1st menu. Then press Enter. The main menu

appears on the monitor.
Move the cursor using ↑ or ↓ to select INITIALIZE. Then press Enter to execute the initialization. Then

press Enter to return to the main menu.
Select other adjustments using ↑ or ↓, or select RETURN TO 1st MENU to exit the main menu.

Move the cursor using ↑ or ↓ key to select END and press Enter to exit the program.

Note
1. The program does not proceed to the main menu unless CUSTOMER SET is executed.
2. If you input an incorrect customer code, the program may not operate correctly.

Adjusted values are not stored in the EEPROM until the printer is turned off. Turn off the printer after
running the adjustment program.

The values are transferred to the printer when this operation is executed. Do not turn off the printer
before executing INITIALIZE.
