4.1.3.1 Determining Printhead Voltage

Normally, voltage is determined by removing the printhead and checking the printhead ID. This program is
designed to read the printhead voltage data stored in the EEPPROM on the main board.
1.
Connect the printer to the host computer with a parallel interface cable.

Run the adjustment program on the host computer.
3.
Input the customer data. (Refer to Section 4.1.2.)
Move the cursor using ↑ or ↓ to select ADJUST in the 1st menu. Then press Enter, and the main menu

appears on the monitor.
Move the cursor using ↑ or ↓ to select A4 CHECK PATTERN. Then press Enter, and the printer prints out

Printhead ID (voltage) is identified as described below;
B2 and B3
Represent the black printhead drive voltage for normal dot mode
B5
Represents the black printhead rank value
B7 and B8
Represent the black printhead drive voltage for the microweave dot mode
B1, B4 and B6 are usually "0" and you can ignore them when inputting the printhead voltage. Apply the
same procedure for the color printhead.
