Running mail

Running mail using a barcode scanner

If you are running a job that uses barcode labels, for example, if you are using combined barcode label
jobs and if the barcode also contains the text "START", the system will automatically select the Start
button and begin processing the mail run for that job.
Similarly, if the barcode contains the text "TAPE", the system will automatically select the Tape button
and begin printing a tape for the mail run.
The optional Barcode Scanner can be used to select an Account, a Job or a JobID1 or JobID2 identity
from within the mail run Screen.
If the scanned barcode contains the text "STOP", the system will automatically select the Stop button and
stop processing the mail run for that job.
Note:
This assumes there are no other required fields open on the Run Mail screen that require you to enter
information or select an option. For example, if the job also requires an account, the Run Mail screen
will prompt you for the account number.
