CONNECTING A PERSONAL COMPUTER

This unit can play audio data stored in your personal computer
by connecting the computer to USB terminal on the unit.
Computer requirements
Your personal computer to connect to the unit must meet the
following requirements:
- Equipped with a USB port conformable to USB standard

- Compatible with IBM PC/AT or a Macintosh computer
- One of the following OS is installed:
Windows
Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows 2000 Professional,
Windows Millennium Edition, or Windows XP
Professional/Home Edition
In the following case, the performance cannot be
guaranteed:
- Windows 98, Windows 95, or Windows NT is installed.
- Windows 98 Second Edition/2000/ Millennium Edition
upgraded form Windows 3.1/95/98 is installed.
Recommended CPU
MMX Technology Pentium processor (266 MHz) or greater.
Macintosh
Mac OS 9.0.4 or Mac OS 9.2
If an OS other than the above ones is installed, the
performance cannot be guaranteed.
NOTES
•Even if all the requirements and the recommendation are
satisfied with your computer, its whole performance cannot
be guaranteed.
•Controlling the unit by operating your computer or
controlling your computer by operating the unit is
impossible.

Connect the two devices via USB terminal as illustrated below.

•Be sure to see "Installing USB drivers" on page 39 before
actually connecting your computer to the unit for the correct
preparations.
NOTES
•If the connection is made via a USB hub and a USB extension
cable, the performance cannot be guaranteed.
•If your computer is equipped with plural USB ports, connect
to the terminal which supports the root hub. (Refer to the
manual attached to your computer for the root hub. )
