TAPE PLAYBACK

Playback
Type I (normal) tapes are recommended for playback.
1 Press zPUSH EJECT to open the cassette holder.
2 Insert the tape.
Insert with the exposed side facing down, and playback
side facing out. Press zPUSH EJECT to close the cassette
holder.

3 Press TAPE l to start play.
To stop playback
Press s.
To rewind or fast forward
Press f or g.
To reset the tape counter
Press s in stop mode, and the tape counter on the display is

reset to "0000".

Opening the cassette holder will also reset the tape counter.
zPUSH
EJECT
To use type II (high position) or type IV (metal
position) tapes
Turn MULTI JOG clockwise (press GROUP/PRESETN on
the remote control) to display "SOFT" in the TAPE function.
Otherwise, high frequency sound range is too much
emphasized.
To return to normal, turn MULTI JOG counterclockwise (press
GROUP/PRESETM on the remote control) so that
"NORMAL" is displayed.
The unit automatically returns to normal when the function is
changed, the cassette holder is opened, or the unit is turned
off.
Notes on cassettes
•Use of 120-minute or longer tapes is not recommended
since they are extremely thin and easily deformed or
damaged.
•Wind up any slack in the tape with a pencil or similar tool
before use. Slack tape may jam in the mechanism.
