CD OPERATIONS

This unit plays back finalized CD-R/RW discs as well as audio
CDs.
Playback
1 Press CD E to select the CD function.
2 Press CD OPEN z to open the CD door.
Place a disc with the label side up. Then close the CD
door by pushing the dent in the front on its right side.

3 Press CD E to start play.
To stop playback
Press s.
To pause playback
Press CD E. Press again to resume playback.
To skip to the beginning of the current/preceding/
succeeding track
Press f or g repeatedly .
To search (playback in fast forward or reverse)
Hold down f or g. Release at the desired point.
To select a track with the remote control (Direct play)
Pivot
Press the numbered buttons to select a track.
- To select the 25th track, press +10, +10 and 5.
- To select the 20th track, press +10 , +10 and 0.
To change the display in play mode
Hold down SHIFT and press DISPLAY on the remote control
during play. Each time the buttons are pressed, the track
number being played and elapsed playing time, the remaining
time of play or remaining recordable time on the MD (if the
MD is loaded) is displayed.
•Remaining time of play cannot be displayed during ""1",
random or programmed play.
To remove the disc
Press CD OPEN z in stop mode to open the CD door, and
then pull out the disc while holding down the center pivot.
Repeat/Random play
Repeat play mode plays all the tracks or the track being played
repeatedly. Random play mode plays all the tracks in random
order. You can select repeat all play and random at the same
time.
Hold down SHIFT and press REPEAT/RANDOM
repeatedly on the remote control.
Each time it is pressed, the function changes in the following
order:
1 ""1": Single track repeat
2 """: All tracks repeat
3 "RANDOM": Random play
4 """ and "RANDOM": Repeat/Random play
5 Normal play
On the main unit, press JOG MODE repeatedly until "PLAY
MODE" is displayed, and then turn MULTI JOG within 6
seconds.
•Direct selection of the tracks with the numbered buttons
cancels the random play mode.
To repeat a selected set of tracks
Select the tracks with programmed play, then hold down SHIFT
and press REPEAT/RANDOM on the remote control to select
repeat play. (See "Programmed play" on page 11.)
