PARTS AND CONTROLS

Main unit: front
1 MDz
Ejects the MD.
2 POWER 6STANDBY/ON
Switches the unit on and off (standby).
3 REC MUTE
Inserts a 4-second blank space during tape recording.
SP/LP
Selects MD recording mode; normal stereo, LP2, LP4,
or monaural.
REC SEL
Selects the recording destination; MD, Tape or both.
CD SYNCHRO REC SEL (MD DIGITAL)
Selects the recording speed; normal or double, when
recording from CD to MD.
REC START / REC PAUSE
Starts recording onto an MD or a tape.
Pauses recording.
4 PHONES jack
Plug in optional headphones set with a stereo mini plug
(ø3.5 mm). Speaker output is canceled.
5 CD OPENz
Opens the CD door.
6 CDE
Starts and pauses CD playback.
MDE
Starts and pauses MD playback.
TAPEl
Starts playback of a tape.
TUNER/BAND
Selects radio function and radio band.
AUX/USB
Selects the function of external equipment connected to
the AUX IN jacks or USB terminal.
sCLEAR
CD, MD and Tape : stops playback.
Radio : clears a station preset
7 r/f, g/tDOWN-TUNING-UP
CD and MD : Skips to a previous or a succeeding track
when pressed, searches for a particular point in fast
forward or reverse play when held down.
Tape : Fast forwards or rewinds the tape.
Radio: Manually tunes up or down within the band.
8 VOLUME
Adjusts the volume.
9 MULTI JOG (PUSH/ENTER) GROUP/
PRESETr,t
As the MULTI JOG dial, used for many purposes such as
adjusting the DIMMER level, presetting stations, etc.
As the ENTER button, press to determine the setting.
Radio: Turn to tune in preset stations.
MD: Turn to select a group.
JOG MODE
When used in combination with MULTI JOG, selects
various sound modes, etc.
EDIT
Selects MD editing mode.
0 zPUSH EJECT
Opens and closes the cassette holder.
