Editing characters in entry mode
•To delete characters
Press f or g repeatedly until the character to delete
flashes, and then press EDIT (DELETE on the remote control).
•To insert a blank space between the characters
Press f or g repeatedly until the character just
behind the inserting position flashes, and then press
SP/LP ((SPACE) on the remote control).
•To insert a character between the characters
Press f or g repeatedly until the character just
behind the inserting position flashes, and then enter a
character with the remote control.
On the unit, insert a blank space first, and then enter a
character.
•To change a character during entering
Press f or g repeatedly until the character to change
flashes, and then enter a desired character.
On the remote control, delete the character to change first,
and then enter a character.
These characters can be used
Capital letters: (space), A to Z
Small letters: (space), a to z
Numbers and symbols: (space), 0 to 9, ! " # $ % & ' ( ) ∗
+ , - . / : ; < = > ? @ _ `
Characters assigned to buttons on the remote control
To enter character with the remote control, select the kind of
character, then press repeatedly the button to which the desired
character is assigned until the desired character is displayed.

Registering the group title
You can register the titles of the groups.
1 Press MD E to select the MD function and
insert an MD.
2 Turn MULTI JOG (press GROUP/PRESET
N,M on the remote control) in stop mode
to select the group you want to register a title for .
3 Press EDIT so that "Group Edit?" is displayed,
and then press MULTI JOG (ENTER on the remote
control) within 6 seconds.
4 Press EDIT repeatedly until "G. Title?" is
displayed, and then press MULTI JOG within 6
seconds.
5 Follow steps 4 to 8 in "Registering the disc title"
on page 26.

Changing the title of a blank group (a group

containing no tracks)

1 Follow steps 1 to 3 in "Registering the group title".

2 Press EDIT repeatedly until "B.G.Title?" is displayed.

3 Within 6 seconds, press MULTI JOG (ENTER on the remote
control) so that "B.Gr # ?" is displayed.
("#" indicates a group number.)
4 Turn MULTI JOG or press f or g to select a blank
group, and then press MULTI JOG.
5 Follow steps 4 to 7 in "Registering the disc title" on page
26.
Note on blank group
When all tracks within a group are removed or erased, the
group becomes a blank group.
If any title has been registered for the blank group, the blank
group remains on the disc.
If not, it will automatically be erased from the disc.
