To Remove and Replace the Filter
The hydraulic/transmission filter is located on the right
side of the tractor. To remove, turn the filter counter-
clockwise. Be sure to move a drain pan under the filter
before completely loosening it. After the filter is re-
moved, clean the metal surface of the filter base where
the rubber gasket contact. Use a clean rag. Make sure
the filter gasket is off the filter housing. Lubricate the
metal sealing surface with clean hydraulic/transmis-
sion fluid. Do not use gear oil or grease.
Lubricate the gasket of the filter with clean hydraulic/
transmission fluid. Spin the filter in a clockwise direc-
tion onto the filter housing. Do not over tighten the fil-
ter. After the filter has made contact with the metal sur-
face, turn it by hand two-thirds to three-quarters of a
turn.

dealer.
When using auxiliary hydraulics, change the transmis-
sion/hydraulic filter after the first 50 service hours.
9.4 Changing front Axle
Differential Case Oil
Remove the drain plug and filling port plug to drain the
used oil. After draining, replace the drain plug and fill
with new oil.
