7.9 Handling the Tractor on the
Farm
Operation on Farm Roads
1. Stop operation of any attached farming implement
while driving on farm roads.
2. The front wheels of the tractor tend to lift when farm
implements are attached to the rear of the tractor.
3. When it is necessary to attach a large-sized or ex-
tra heavy implement to the rear of the tractor, con-
tact your dealer for selection of an appropriate
counter weight for the front and slow down.
4. While driving the tractor on farm roads, keep in mind
safe driving practices.
NOTE :
For maximum safety always pay close attention to
the balance between the front and rear wheels of
the tractor.
Operation in the Field
1. For field working, disconnect the brake pedal inter-
lock so that the right and left brakes can be en-
gaged separately.
2. Be careful not to force sudden loads while operat-
ing implement from the power-take-off since such
loads tend to shorten engine life.
Always lower implements slowly.
Never pull from the top link, the rear
axle any point above the drawbar. Do-
ing so could cause the tractor to roll

over rearward causing personal injury.

Use the 3-point hitch only with equip-
ment designed for 3-point hitch usage.
