3-10 Feed Ring Replacement

The external diameter of the feed ring is
bigger than the that of feed rotor by 0.3 mm
(0.01".) [Diameter: by 0.6 mm (0.02")]
When the feed ring is worn out and be-
comes smaller, it can not feed sheets
correctly. (Fig.1)
When replacing the feed ring, do not
dismantle the feed rotor unit.
Remove the rear cover.
Remove the hoses and conntecting
parts.
- Remove the hoses and connectors to the pump.
Remove the valve unit. (Fig.2)
Remove the vacuum plug. (Fig.3)
Pull out the feed rotor.
- Displace the timing belt and pull out the vacuum
roller.
Cut the feed ring using a nipper.
Install new feed rings. (Fig.4)
- After installing the new feed ring, fit the ring on the
groove.

adjust this cutout
on the notch

- To install the feed ring easily,
push this rotor to the rear
side.
- After installing the feed ring,
fit the ring on the groove.
