8.11 FOCUS ADJUSTMENT

– A151 copier –

1. Make three copies with the test chart to check the focus.
2. Turn off the main switch and remove the exposure glass. (See Exposure
Glass Removal.)
3. Remove the lens cover [A] (2 screws).
4. Loosen a screw [B] and move the 4th/5th mirror assembly to adjust the
focus.
– A152 copier –
1. Make three copies with the test chart.
2. Adjust the focus using SP47. Check the text on the copies.
The copy image is out of focus.
After adjusting the horizontal magnification.
To maintain proper focus.
Copy image in focus.
1. Loosen a screw and move the 4th/5th mirror
assembly position ... A151 copier
2. SP47 (101 steps) ... A152 copier
Adjusts the 4th/5th mirror assembly home
position, changing the distance between the
original and the drum surface.
