REPLACEMENT OF SINGLE BOARD COMPUTER (SBC)
1. Remove the rear console case.
2. remove the five Phillips screws (shown in the illustration) that
secure the SBC to the PCB mounting bracket.
3. Disconnect the cable from the SBC to the inverter board. Also
disconnect the touch tail, LCD cables, optional panel cable, and
mini coaxial cable (15" only).
4. The SBC is connected to both the MIB and the analog tuner via
interboard connectors. The SBC cannot be disconnected from
both the MIB and analog tuner/authentication PCB at the same
time. removal of the SBC will require first removing either the
mounting screws for the MIB or the analog tuner/authentication
PCB mounting screws in order to allow disengagement of the
interboard connectors between boards.
5. Install the new SBC in reverse order using the hardware
removed and saved in the previous steps. Reconnect all cables.
REPLACEMENT OF MACHINE INTERFACE BOARD (MIB)
1. Remove the rear console case.
2. remove and save the four Phillips screws (shown in the
illustration) that secure the MIB to the PC mounting bracket.
Disconnect the cables, keypad (7" only) from the MIB to the
data display board (7" LCD console only) and the Polar cable
that attaches to the MIB.
Lifecycle
Exercise Bikes and Cross-Trainers only: disconnect
®
the white connector from the MIB.
3. The MIB is connected to the SBC via an interboard
connector. Carefully disconnect the MIB from the SBC at this
connector.
4. Install the new MIB in reverse order using the hardware
removed and saved in the previous steps. Reuse spacers
from old MIB (if present).
