REPLACEMENT OF OPTION PANEL
1. remove and save the two screws that secure the option panel
assembly to the console front as shown. The option panel
assembly mounts to both the 7" and 15" LCD consoles identically.
2. Carefully pull option panel assembly out until the USB,
Headphone and iPod
3. Disconnect all 3 connectors.
4. Connect the 3 connectors of the new option panel assembly. The
connectors are polarized and only connect one way.
5. Move any ferrites from the old option panel assembly to the new
one, if there aren't any present on the new one.
6. Install the new option panel assembly in reverse order using the
screws removed and saved in Step 1.
REPLACEMENT OF THE OPTION PANEL COMPONENTS
1. To replace the USB connector:
a. remove the two Phillips screws that secure the option panel to
the console front.
b. Disconnect the USB connector cable.
c. remove the two Phillips screws that secure the USB connector
to the option panel.
d. Install new USB connector in reverse order.
(The phone jack is NOT rEPLACEABLE because it is epoxied to the
option panel assembly. If a headphone jack needs to be replaced, you
must replace the entire option panel assembly.)
