The electrical value of many types of resistors and capaci-
tors is printed on the component.
Other types, however, are identi-
fied by color coding which gives all the information needed to cor-
rectly identify the component.
In most cases color coding conforms
with the EIA (Electronic Industries Association) Standard Color
Code.
In other cases a manufacturer will adapt the standard to fit
his particular requirement.
Both the Standard 'ColorCode and a
code used to identify tantalum dipped capacitors are provided below.
