This section describes how to test network connectivity for Windows and
Linux networks.
Here are the guidelines to testing the network connectivity:
Verify Both the adapter and the switch must be set to the same
duplex mode and the same supported speed.
Before entering the ping command, disconnect or disable all other
network connections. Otherwise, the ping command may succeed
through the network connection that you do not intend to test.
To test the network connectivity for the Windows driver software, perform
the following procedure.
Use the ping command to determine if network connectivity is working.
1. Click the icon at the left bottom corner of the Windows.
2. In the search box, type cmd and click OK.
3. Type ipconfig /all
The command window opens, as shown in Figure 41.
