PREPARATION

n Programmable key functions
The programmable key functons can be assgned to the fol-
lowng keys and swtches;
Handheld transceivers:
[EMR], [Sde1], [Sde2], [Sde3], [I]*
[∫]* 1 , [√]* 1 , [APP]*
swtch.
Mobile transceivers:
[UP]* 2 , [DOWN]* 2 , [P0], [P1], [P2], [P3] and [P4].

For Handheld transceivers:
❍ ABC and Toggle switches
The programmable key functons for the ABC and Toggle
swtches are lmted. (See p. 8 for detals.)

❍ Key indicator (Smple and 10-key types only)
If the key ndcator shows the programmed functon key
name, push the front panel key ([I], [II] or [III]) under the key
ndcator to actvate the programmed functon.
( In the explanatons that follow, the functon key name for that
key ndcator s dsplayed n double quotaton marks; e.g.
"EMR.")
❍ Non-display types
The programmable key functons are lmted, and some key
functons operate dfferently between the Smple and 10-key
types.
