APCO P25 MODE OPERATION
n Talkgroup call
D Transmitting
A Talkgroup call allows you to make a call to a specfic group
only.
[Talkgroup] key assgnment s necessary to transmt the

Talkgroup call.

✔ For Trunking mode operation:
The [Talkgroup] key s not usable whle n the Trunkng mode.
To make a Talkgroup call, the group affilaton should be per-
formed wth the desred Talkgroup ID to call.
q Push [Talkgroup] to enter the Talkgroup ID (or name) se-
lecton mode.

• The key ndcator appears above the key to whch [Talkgroup] s
assgned. (on Mobles)
• A pre-programmed ID name s dsplayed.
• When the ID name s not programmed, the ID code s ds-
played.
• Push agan to cancel and return to normal operaton.
For Handheld types:

w Select the desred Talkgroup ID (or name) usng [CH Up]/
[CH Down], or [CH Up/Down].
NOTE: When '65535' s selected as the Talkgroup ID,
All Call s an open call to everyone on your system.
e Push and hold [PTT] to transmt the Talkgroup call to the
specfic group, then speak nto the mcrophone.
• The Busy/Transmt ndcator (for Handhelds) or Transmt ndca-
tor (for Mobles) lghts red.
• Dependng on the pre-settng, the target staton does not open
the squelch, and communcaton s not establshed, f the Talk-
group ID or NAC (Network Access Code) s not matched. Ask
your dealer for detals.
• The Talkgroup ID (or name) s dsplayed for 2 sec. when [PTT] s
pushed. (Dependng on the pre-settng.)
r Release [PTT] to receve.
