2.1.4 Configuration with a Siemens master

Please note
Various configuration programs are available for use in
conjunction with a Siemens master.
Please observe the relevant procedure for your configur-
ation program.
The following sections describe as an example the most im-
portant steps required for configuring the Festo valve ter-
minal with the "COM PROFIBUS software or with "STEP 7". In
the following, it is assumed that the user is already familiar
with the contents of the manual for the COM PROFIBUS soft-
ware or for STEP 7.

Preparations
1. Copy the GSD (see section 2.1.3) into directory ...\
SIEMENS\CPBV50\GSD on your PC or programmer.
Please note
Update the slave catalogue, if you copy the device master
file (GSD) during work with COM PROFIBUS.
