Special identifier format and groupable identifiers
Configuration is made PROFIBUS-specific byte-by-byte. By
means of a special identifier format you can group some
modules within a byte together. The data volume will then be
reduced.

You can only group together modules of the same type:

input modules
–
output modules
Any other module types may be placed between the grouped
modules. Further information can be found in the configur-
ation example below.
