Capillary Sensor Troubleshooting and Replacement (KHD-908-000846 REV 02)
Sensor
Issue: The SQA-V fails to pass SELF-TEST and the values of Conc 1, Conc 2 and Conc. 3
are ZERO.
Turn off the power and open the SQA-V
by unscrewing the screws from the rear
panel using a #2 Philips screwdriver.
Disconnect capillary sensor harness
connected to location J13 on
Motherboard
Close the SQA-V and reboot it
Press On/Off key on the front panel to
begin Auto-Calibration and Stabilization
If SQA-V successfully passed the SELF-
TEST, the capillary sensor is defective
and must be replaced (follow the
instructions in next section)
If the SELF-TEST keeps failing while the
values of Conc 1, Conc 2 and Conc. 3 are
ZERO, call technical support for
assistance
How to replace the capillary sensor
Turn off the power and
open the SQA-V by
unscrewing the screws
from the rear panel
using a #2 Philips
screwdriver
Using a #2.5 Allen key
remove four screws
connecting the optical
assembly to the front
panel of the SQA-V.
Carefully pull the optical
assembly in order to
release it from the front
panel.
Place the optical
assembly on its side.
Release the screw
holding the capillary
sensor using a #2 Philips
screwdriver.

Disconnect connector J13
Disconnect the optical
Release the Capillary Sensor
Screw
assembly
