Sub-D socket from Festo
A floating screening connection is intended with the sub-D
socket from Festo:
Clamp the screening/shield of the field bus cable under
the cable clip on the sub-D socket.
The diagram below shows the pin assignment in the Festo
sub-D socket.

Please note
The cable clip in the Festo sub-D socket is connected inter-
nally only capacitively with the metallic external ring of the
socket. This is to prevent equalizing currents flowing
through the screening of the field bus cable (Fig. 1/6).
