Setting the CPX diagnostic mode
You can set the CPX diagnostic mode with the 2-position DIL
switch 5:
CPX diagnostic mode
Status bits and I/O diagnostic
interface deactivated
Status bits activated
(8 bits)
I/O diagnostic interface
activated
(16 bits)

The status bits occupy 8 bits and the I/O diagnostic interface
16 bits in PDO 4 (bits 0...7 or 0...15). An overview can be
