Maintenance Philosophy

The FLM 150 ADM multiplexes a maximum of 84 DS1 or three DS3 electrical
signals into a SONET (Synchronous Optical Network) OC-3 optical signal.
During normal operation, the system should require no maintenance on the part
of the technician. However, if equipment or lines fail, self-diagnostic features
identify the faulty system unit or line.
This practice lists the procedures used to maintain and troubleshoot the FLM 150
ADM.
