5.2.3 Connecting the Fiber Cable
Step 1 Insert the fiber cord into the plug-in unit, adapter, distribution frame, or
attenuator. For slotted connector types, make sure that the tab on the connector is
lined up with the slot on the receptacle.
Step 2 Tighten the coupling nut until it is "finger tight." Do not turn the connector body
or twist the fiber cord (Figure 5-11).

5.2.4 Disconnecting the Fiber Cable
Step 1 Loosen the coupling nut completely. Do not twist the fiber cord (Figure 5-12).
Step 2 Remove the connector body.
Step 3 Put a protective cap on the connector.
