 (Page 3):   Adapting the axilla loop
CAUTION
Use of the product in case of known allergies to chrome or nickel
Allergic reaction
Avoid skin contact with the product in case of known allergies to chrome or nickel.
► Adapt the axilla loop as shown in the figure, noting the following points in particular:
 CAUTION! Nickel – patients sensitive to nickel should avoid wearing the buckle
(  21Y195=25) in direct contact with their skin.
 For the best possible force transmission, position the ring on the patient as shown (inter­
section of the line between the humeral heads and the spine).
► If required, attach the flexion cable

 +   INFORMATION: Complete these points when finishing the definitive prosthesis.
These points also apply for the flexion cable.
► CAUTION! Weld the ends of the shortened straps with a lighter flame.

 Mounting the strap buckle
► Mount the strap buckle as shown in the figure, noting the following points in particular:
INFORMATION: The spacer sleeve 
 During positioning, ensure that the straps are routed as shown in the figures (lock cable
routing: over the shoulder) and the radii of the pull cables are not too tight.
 Alternative component: instead of the 29C5 setting nut, the 507S15 lamination disc can
also be used; a thread (M4) has to be cut into it.
 +   NOTICE! Make sure the pull cable is not damaged by the scissors and lighter flame.

 Optional: removing the prehensile cable
► For a hybrid prosthesis, the pull cable of the prehensile cable can be removed as shown in
the figure.

 Mounting the Bowden cable
► Mount the Bowden cable as shown in the figure, noting the following points in particular:
 Pull the Bowden cable over the cable and fasten it in the strap buckle by slightly rotating it
to the right. Secure with superglue if necessary.
 Instead of the 29C5 setting nut, the 507S15 lamination disc can also be used; a thread
(M4) has to be cut into it.
 NOTICE! Do not kink the 21A17=3.8* and 21A6.

 Mounting the pull cables
► Shorten the pull cables to a length suitable for the patient. Then mount the pull cables as
shown in the figure, noting the following points in particular:
 Mounting the prehensile cable
Mount the components on the pull cables of the body harness and prosthetic hand (suitable
tools:  Perlon cable – 711F2; steel cable – 736Y6).
