Release Notes for Avaya XT Series
To execute commands when
using a telnet connection to port
QC#18671

USB Recording in a telepresence
system will record only master

codec content and force a single
monitor scenario on the master.
It is not possible to activate
Screen Link while playing a
video from the USB key.
When recording is active or the
HD1 monitor is duplicated, it is
not possible to select the single
source to snapshots. The
content of the whole screen will
be captured.
Automatic acoustic pairing (or
Sonic Paring): this option on a
PC/Mac or mobile device will
generate an ultrasonic sound

(around 18 kHz, preceded by an
Mobile Link
audible short beep) that can be

detected by a nearby XT (using
3-way pod or 1-way pod) for
acoustic pairing.
A list of all the detected XTs will
be displayed, together with their
status (represented by icons).
This configuration is not supported by the endpoint.
Please connect each GLAN port to a different
subnet.
The Quick Setup wizard connects to some Internet
public geo-localization services to determine the
system location and time zone. The availability of
such services is not guarantee. When using a proxy
to connect to the Internet the results could be not
accurate.
When setting up a Telepresence system, it is
strongly recommended to use static IP addresses for
the three endpoints.
Connect to the Telepresence Master using a Web
Browser from your computer (Windows or Mac) and
download the updated package for the Calibration
application. The version of the application can be
checked by pressing F1 for Windows (or CMD+1 for
Mac) when the application is running.
Stop the recording before unplugging the USB key.
Verify that your Owner name and the Organization
ID are correct. Transfer status shown by XT is
relative to FTP transfer.
To properly record a telepresence session, use
Network Recording
To use Sonic Pairing functionalities, please add a 3-
way or 1-way microphone pod to your XTE or select
the XT manually.
