4.1 System Configuration

The System screen allows you to configure the MP-8100 device as a BSU or a SU, the frequency domain, and the network
mode as Bridge or Routing.
To configure the System
1. Click ADVANCED CONFIGURATION > System. The System screen is displayed as show below.
2. From the Radio Mode drop-down menu, select either BSU or SU.
3. From the Frequency Domain drop-down menu, select a frequency domain.
4. From the Network Mode drop-down menu, select either Bridge or Routing.
5. Click OK.

Radio mode specifies the mode of operation and
MP-8100 supports two types of modes, BSU and SU.
The device can be configured in two network modes:
Bridge Mode and Routing Mode. The default network
mode is Bridge Mode.

A valid frequency domain must be set before the
device can be configured with any other parameters.
Selecting a frequency domain makes the device
compliant with the allowed frequency bands and
channels for that regulatory domain.
This is a read-only parameter which shows current
operating network mode of the device. It is displayed
only when the newly configured Network mode differs
from the current Active Network mode.
