2. Flatbed Scanning

The figure below shows the flow of the
flatbed scanning operation.

When the scanning start signal is output,
the reading unit moves forward and back-
ward from the home position to read the
shading sheet and reconfirm the home po-
sition. Then it moves at a speed appropriate
