a
test
sample
first
using
scraps of
the material

be sewing
the hem

Select
the blindstitch.
1.
Prepare hem
in
the usual
way.
It is
advisable
to
baste the
hem.
2.
With the
wrong side of work
upper-
most, turn the hem under,
creating a
soft
fold from the top edge
of
hem.
3. Position the hem under the presser
foot. Stitch
so
that
the straight stitches
fall
on
the hem
allowance and the
sideward stitches pierce the soft
fold
of the work.
Adjust
stitch width, if
necessary.

en-dessous, creant
ainsi
un pli mou

partir de Ia lisiere

perieure de l'ourlet.
3. Positionnez
l'ourlet sous
le
pied
pres-
seur.
Piquez de fa<;:on
a
situer
les
points droits
dans Ia
valeur de couture
et
a
faire passer les points
lateraux
a
travers le pli mou de
l'ouvrage.
Reglez Ia
largeur du point,
si besoin en est.
