Coil

Check
A tester can be used for the check. In every case
the continuity of the primary and secondary wind-
ings must be checked. The reading in ohms does
not need to be exact but, if the windings are intact,
their continuity must be detected with the resist-
ance values indicated above.
Primary: 550 +/- 50 mOhm
Secondary: 3.3 +/- 0.3 kOhm
Function
Allows generation of the electrical discharge on
the spark plug, with an increase of voltage.
Pin-out:
1. Relay powered (PIN 3 relay side)
2. Activation by control unit (control unit side
PIN 1)

ELECTRICAL ERRORS
H.V. Coil P0351 - shorted to positive / open circuit or shorted to negative.
Error cause
Shorted to positive: excessive voltage at PIN 1 of the control unit connector.
Circuit open or shorted to negative: interruption of the circuit or null voltage at PIN 1 of the control unit
connector.
