Configure iDRAC without a DHCP server

The 14-character appliance serial number is located on the white label on the
information tag in the front of the X400 platform cube.
Procedure
1. If your environment does not have a DHCP server, use the mini-Display Port
(mini-DP) to VGA adapter included with the X400 Appliance and connect a
monitor and keyboard to the X400 platform cube node 1.
2. Power on the X400 platform cube node 1 from the front of the X400 cube.
3. During the X400 Appliance boot process, press F2 when prompted for Enter
Setup.
4. In the System Setup Main Menu page, click iDRAC Settings.
The iDRAC Settings page appears.
5. Click Network.
The Network page appears.
6. Under IPv4 Settings, specify static IP address details.
7. Press Esc to return to the previous menu.
Save the settings when prompted and let the boot continue.
8. Using the new iDRAC IP address, log in to iDRAC with the following credentials
and change the root account password.

9. Repeat steps 1 through 8 to configure iDRAC on the remaining three X400
platform cube nodes.
10. For the X400 capacity cubes, use the VGA port on the back of each cube to
connect a monitor and keyboard. (You do not need to use the mini-DP to VGA
adapter.)
a. Repeat steps 2 through 8 to configure iDRAC on each capacity cube in the
X400 Appliance.
