Single switch configuration with new switch (all ports free)
The numbered switch ports on a single switch used for connecting to the internal and
external network ports on the X400 platform cube and the X400 capacity cubes are
shown in the following diagram. For example, port 17 on the switch connects to the
external network port 2 on X400 capacity cube node 1. The diagram represents a
generic 10 GbE or greater SFP+ switch that supports VLAN. Each X400 Appliance
requires its own internal private network for internal communication. Each internal
network requires a separate, dedicated VLAN ID. VLAN IDs are assigned per X400
Appliance, and are determined by the network administrator. This diagram and the
table that follows it assumes that the customer is using a new switch that has all ports
free.
Note: The diagram and the following table are provided only as examples, and
customer port mapping may vary widely.
