Bonding - can be Active-Standby or Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP).
l
Active-Standby is the network bonding mode where one NIC is active while
another NIC is asleep. If the active NIC goes down, the standby NIC becomes
active. LACP bundles several physical ports together to form a single logical
channel. The default in the PowerProtect X400 Appliance Configuration UI is
Active-Standby. Use LACP if you would like a bigger bandwidth than what is
available from a single physical port.
MTU - Make a note of the Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) size on the switch
l
ports. When you log in to the PowerProtect X400 Appliance Configuration UI, the
MTU size on the switch ports must be greater than or equal to the MTU size
settings in the UI. The default MTU size in the PowerProtect X400 Appliance
Configuration UI is 1500. As an example, if you have jumbo frames with an MTU
size of 9000 on the switch ports, you can change the default 1500 MTU size
setting in the configuration UI up to 9000.
