Configuring E-mail
Notification for
Product Events
Call home must be enabled for each of the ED-1032s. Use the
Configuration button on each ED-1032's Product Manager to enable
this function.
To disable call-home notification, click the box to remove the
checkmark.
Configure up to five E-mail addresses for administrators or others
who should be notified of significant product events. The events that
initiate E-mail notification are specific to each individual managed
product. These events include:
Change in system operational status
Problem detection, such as a failed FRU
Problem correction
State change that requires user attention or a report to the product
administrator or service representative
Ethernet events, which can trigger a notification if the EC-1100's
hub fails
EMC recommends enabling this feature. Refer to Configure Ethernet
Events on page 2-37.
To configure E-mail notification:
1. Move your cursor over the Administration icon on the
Connectrix Manager's navigation control panel and select
Configure E-Mail from the pop-up menu. This displays the
following dialog box.
