1.1 Notes on possible severe personal injury

Risk of fatal injury due to the formation of an explosive atmosphere.
Incorrect installation, operation or maintenance of the differential pressure meter in po-
tentially explosive atmospheres may lead to ignition of the atmosphere and cause death,
even with a harmless supply voltage.
Î For mounting and electrical installation in hazardous areas, observe the explosion
protection approvals as well as the relevant electrotechnical regulations and the ac-
cident prevention regulations that apply in the country of use. EN 60079-14 applies
in Europe.
Î Do not connect the supply voltage before mounting is completed and any unused
cable entries have been sealed.
Î Installation, operation or maintenance of the differential pressure meter must only
performed by personnel with qualifications according to Clause 4.5 of IEC 60079-
14 who has undergone special training or instructions or who is authorized to work
on explosion-protected devices in hazardous areas.
