To start the vehicle lift (see
Turn the mains power switch (2) to position 1 and press <SELECT>.
This switches on the mains and control circuit power, and the vehicle lift is ready for
use.

A control box on a slave column does not have a main switch.

5.2.3 Rising

To make the column lifts raise, press the UP button (3). There is an arrow pointing
up beside this button.

5.2.4 Lowering

Operate button (6) simultaneously with button (4) for lowering the column lifts. There
is an arrow pointing down next to button (4).

If problem situations arise during raising or lowering, release the control buttons or
press the emergency stop.

5.2.5 Slow lowering

Press the <SLOW LOWERING> button (tortoise symbol). This function is activated
if the LED is lit in the button.

Press the button again to deactivate the function.
If the "SLOW LOWERING" function has been activated, the lowering speed of the
column lifts will be reduced to 1/3 of the normal speed. This can be used when
building out gearboxes or to allow the vehicle to carefully be lowered on an axle
support.
Caution
c
A column lift may come to a standstill when lowering columns when the "SLOW
LOWERING" function has been activated to cancel elevation differences. Once the
elevation difference has been levelled, the column will again be lowered.
