Safety measures

2.5.1 Emergency stop

Set the rotary switch on the main control box to 0 or press the emergency button on
the auxiliary control box if an emergency arises. All movements of all column lifts will
stop.
If the emergency stop has been used, check:
• whether any person is trapped,
• whether the mobile column lifts have been damaged.

2.5.2 Safety features

The mobile column lifts have a control and monitoring system, which ensures that:
• the guide blocks always stay at an equivalent height within the control limits,
• lowering is halted in the event that obstacles cause an elevation difference to
occur,
• the control circuit is interrupted, in the event the height difference between the
guide blocks exceeds a pre-defined value; operation via the push buttons on the
mobile column lift control boxes is then disabled,
• lifting is halted when the highest position is reached (height safeguard).
• lowering is mechanically blocked in the event of loss of control power or leakage
from the cylinders.
